形態特徵

• Twining herbs; young plants erect or decumbent.
• Leaves ovate or ovate-oblong, apex acuminate, acute to obtuse and mucronulate, base rounded to truncate, 2–8 cm long, 2.5–5 cm wide, glabrous or nearly so on both sides; petiole 1–6 cm long, glabrescent.
• Flowers in a loose to very dense, few-many-flowered, pilose, umbelliform cyme; peduncle variable in length; bracts subulate; pedicel 3–6 mm long or longer in fruit; sepals pilose or glabrescent, ovate-lanceolate to ovate, acuminate to long-acuminate, herbaceous, unequal, three outer ones 5–7 mm long, two inner ones 3–4.5 mm long; corolla glabrous or with some hairs at mucronate tip of lobes, lilac, pale blue or rarely white, 8–10 mm long; ovary glabrous.
• Capsules globular, 3–4 mm across, 8-valved; seeds brownish yellow to purplish black, minutely verrucose, glabrous, 1.5–2 mm long, angle with very narrow scarious wing.

分布

• 台灣 : in thickets throughout the island.
• 世界 : Southeastern Asia, tropical Australia and New Caledonia. Usually in disturbed sites.
